About Ron Doades

Ronald Doades (B.S. chemical engineering, Purdue University; MBA Columbia University; M.A. psychology, New School for Social Research) is president of Ronald Doades & Company, an energy-management consulting firm he established in 1977. Since then, he has provided management consulting services to nearly one hundred large and mid-sized energy companies throughout North America.

 

He is renowned for helping utilities in applying best management practices on a variety of topics all learned through nearly 400 meetings he has facilitated with clients at 150 of America's top 350 Fortune companies. Topics include leadership, employee safety, enabling communication, promoting innovation, and risk and disaster management.

Mr. Doades has delivered speeches to such energy industry groups as the American Gas Association, and the American Public Power Association. His views on management practices have been published in Public Utilities Fortnightly,  the New York Times, and the Wall Street Journal. Mr. Doades' interest and experience in organizational and personal self-improvement have led him to author the self-improvement novel Realizing You and to embark on a self-improvement non-fiction book tentatively titled Minding Personal Space.
